Issue II: The Persistent Intelligence Layer
Structural Layer Thesis · Petit Lapin Trading Ltd.
This thesis examines the structural case for the industrial AI connectivity layer — the infrastructure that enables autonomous systems to operate in the 70% of industrial geography that terrestrial networks cannot reach.

PREFACE The Industrial AI Problem
The industrial AI thesis has a connectivity assumption buried inside it that is rarely examined. The assumption is that the machines, sensors, and autonomous systems that will comprise the industrial AI layer will be able to communicate reliably, persistently, and at the bandwidth required to support real-time intelligence operations. This assumption is wrong for a significant fraction of the industrial geography where AI deployment is most valuable.
